Get Ready to Grin: ‘Smile 2’ Set to Haunt Theaters on Halloween 2024
Following the resounding success of “Smile,” the spine-tingling horror film adapted from his own short film “Laura Hasn’t Slept,” Parker Finn is set to terrify audiences once again with “Smile 2.” Paramount Pictures is bringing the sequel to the big screen, with a release date slated for October 18, 2024.
In the wake of the massive hit that was “Smile,” Parker Finn inked a multi-year, first-look deal with Paramount Pictures, and the sequel to the bone-chilling film was the first order of business.
Paramount CEO Brian Robbins expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Smile’s breakthrough success is a testament to Parker’s unique and fresh filmmaking, and we are thrilled that he will make Paramount his home.”
Paramount’s Michael Ireland and Daria Cercek also chimed in, affirming their delight in continuing to collaborate with Parker: “Parker knows how to keep people on the edge of their seat, and we’re happy that we get to keep scaring audiences together.”
As details about “Smile 2” continue to emerge, stay tuned for more spine-tingling updates. With the first film raking in a staggering $217 million worldwide last year, it’s safe to say that the appetite for more scares ensures the sequel won’t be too far behind.
