Shudder is gearing up to kick off the new year with the uproarious splatter-comedy, “Destroy All Neighbors,” featuring Alex Winter and Jonah Ray Rodrigues. The unveiling of a fresh trailer today promises an outrageous and blood-soaked adventure.
Mark your calendars for “Destroy All Neighbors,” set to hit Shudder screens on January 12, 2024.
The film follows William Brown (played by Jonah Ray Rodrigues), a neurotic musician fixated on completing his prog-rock masterpiece. His creative process hits a snag due to a bothersome and grotesque neighbor named Vlad (portrayed by Alex Winter). Summoning the courage to confront Vlad about the noise, William inadvertently decapitates him. However, attempting to cover up this mishap leads to a series of accidental killings, with the victims transforming into undead tormentors, creating chaos on William’s journey to prog-rock greatness.
This horror movie is billed as “a twisted splatter-comedy, an offbeat quest for self-discovery filled with gooey practical effects, a notable ensemble cast, and an abundance of blood.” It sounds like a riot!
Witness the trailer below, laden with striking SFX, gore, and a retro vibe.
Directed by Josh Forbes of “Contracted: Phase II,” “Destroy All Neighbors” is scripted by Charles Pieper and Jared Logan, based on a story by Pieper and Mike Benner.
Kiran Deol stars alongside Winter and Rodrigues in this outrageous horror tale.
Alex Winter is remembered by many for his standout roles in the Bill & Ted trilogy, while horror aficionados recognize him from “The Lost Boys” and as the director of the cult favorite “Freaked.” Rodrigues has swiftly made his mark in the horror realm, appearing in films like “Suitable Flesh,” “Satanic Hispanics,” and last year’s “Christmas Bloody Christmas.”
Expressing excitement about the collaboration, Winter previously mentioned to Deadline, “Our film is a return to the kind of physical effects-driven genre comedy that’s all too rare these days.”
Fortunately, the wait to witness this bloody and uproarious splatter-comedy is nearly over.
