This Halloween season, Universal and Blumhouse are set to bring the iconic horror game “Five Nights at Freddy’s” to the big screen for the very first time. An exciting new official trailer has just made its debut, giving audiences a taste of the terror that awaits.
Universal Pictures has announced that Blumhouse’s “Five Nights at Freddy’s” will hit theaters and be available on Peacock starting Friday, October 27, 2023. The new trailer, which can be viewed below, offers a fresh glimpse into the film’s chilling world.
This latest trailer teases some never-before-seen scenes from the upcoming movie, introducing viewers to Foxy, Bonnie, Chica, Freddy, and their insatiable appetite for bloodshed and chaos.
The film adaptation transforms the terrifying horror game phenomenon into a spine-tingling cinematic experience. Blumhouse, renowned for producing films like “M3GAN,” “The Black Phone,” and “The Invisible Man,” is set to deliver “Five Nights at Freddy’s” to the big screen just in time for Halloween.
In the movie, a troubled security guard takes up a position at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. However, as he embarks on his first night shift, he quickly realizes that surviving the night at Freddy’s will be anything but easy.
“Five Nights at Freddy’s” is directed by Emma Tammi, known for “The Wind” and “Blood Moon.” The screenplay is a collaborative effort by Scott Cawthon, Emma Tammi, and Seth Cuddeback.
The film boasts an ensemble cast that includes Josh Hutcherson (“Ultraman,” “The Hunger Games” franchise), Matthew Lillard (“Good Girls,” “Scream”), Elizabeth Lail (“You,” “Mack & Rita”), Kat Conner Sterling (“We Have A Ghost,” “9-1-1”), Piper Rubio (“Holly & Ivy,” “Unstable”), and Mary Stuart Masterson (“Blindspot,” “Fried Green Tomatoes”).
The iconic monster animatronics are crafted by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the film’s nightmarish atmosphere.
The screenplay for “Five Nights at Freddy’s” was written by Emma Tammi, Scott Cawthon, and Seth Cuddeback. Blumhouse is producing the film in collaboration with Striker Entertainment, with Scott Cawthon and Jason Blum serving as producers. Russell Binder and Marc Mostman are also part of the production team.
