Netflix has unveiled its upcoming international slate, which includes Revelations, a thrilling new project from Train to Busan director Yeon Sang-ho. The streaming platform released first-look images today, offering a glimpse into the supernatural crime thriller set to debut in 2025.

Revelations follows a pastor and a detective, each driven by their own personal convictions. The pastor, Min-chan, believes it is his divine duty to punish the person behind a missing-person case, while detective Yeon-hee is haunted by visions of her deceased sister as she works to uncover the truth.

Ryu Jun-yeol and Shin Hyeon-bin star in the lead roles. Ryu plays Min-chan, a pastor in a small town who is dedicated to spreading his faith. When a man named Yang-rae visits his church, Min-chan experiences a divine revelation that leads him to believe Yang-rae is responsible for abducting his son. Consumed by the desire for justice, Min-chan’s quest for retribution blurs the line between faith and harsh reality.

Shin Hyeon-bin portrays Yeon-hee, a detective investigating the case of the missing person and her suspicion of Min-chan. Haunted by the memory of her sister’s tragic death at the hands of a criminal, Yeon-hee is determined to solve the case, even as her personal struggles intensify.

The script for Revelations was co-written by Yeon Sang-ho and Choi Gyu-seok, adapting their 2022 comic of the same name. The two previously worked together on Netflix’s Hellbound series. Additionally, Revelations is executive produced by Academy Award-winning director Alfonso Cuarón (Gravity, Roma), who has long influenced Yeon’s filmmaking. Yeon expressed his excitement for the collaboration, stating, “I am thrilled at this opportunity to collaborate with him on shaping Revelations, and I have high expectations for our partnership.”

The thriller is produced by WOW POINT, a global content production company known for original local content across Korea, the U.S., and Japan. WOW POINT previously partnered with Netflix on the Parasyte: The Grey series, another project directed by Yeon.
