Ted Geoghegan, known for films like “Mohawk” and “We Are Still Here,” returns with the supernatural horror movie “Brooklyn 45,” set to premiere on Shudder on June 9. However, before its digital release, the film will hit the big screen in New York City.
The IFC Center is hosting the highly anticipated New York theatrical premiere of “Brooklyn 45” on Thursday, June 1. Director Ted Geoghegan and several special guests will be in attendance to make the event even more exciting.
Joining the premiere are stars Larry Fessenden, Kristina Klebe, and Jeremy Holm, who will participate in a Q&A session after the screening. Secure your tickets now through the official website of IFC.
In the film’s storyline, set on Friday, December 27, 1945, five military veterans gather in the elegant parlor of a Brooklyn brownstone. Childhood best friends, they come together to support their troubled host. However, what was intended as a simple gathering for cocktails becomes an impromptu séance, unleashing literal manifestations of their metaphorical past. Trapped within their host’s lounge, the Greatest Generation faces a final test, where their only path to freedom is marked by further bloodshed.
The cast of “Brooklyn 45” includes Anne Ramsay (“A League of Their Own”), Ezra Buzzington (“The Hills Have Eyes”), Jeremy Holm (“The Ranger”), Larry Fessenden (“We Are Still Here”), Ron E. Rains (“The Onion’s Film Standard”), and Kristina Klebe (“Rob Zombie’s Halloween”).
The film is a co-production between Shudder, Raven Banner, Hangar 18 Media, Divide/Conquer, and The Line Film Company.
