Delve Into Madness With ‘Project Paranoia’ – Now Streaming on Prime Video!
After more than a year since its production and two release date changes, the enigmatic horror/thriller film “Project Paranoia” has finally made its debut on the online streaming service Prime Video. Viewers can now watch it here!
“Project Paranoia” delves into themes of depression and friendship, unraveling internal demons in the aftermath of the COVID pandemic.
In the film, the disappearance of Andrew’s wife plunges him into a deep depression. However, when a friend steps in to support him by staying at his house for a week, events take a sinister turn.
Utilizing the found-footage approach, the film meticulously documents the complexities of depression and friendship amidst a backdrop that grows increasingly dark and tangled. As the story unfolds and the mystery deepens, viewers are left to question whom to trust.
This marks GoreCulture’s debut feature film and serves as the directorial premiere of horror filmmaker Francesco Monti. Award-winning horror filmmaker and actress Meosha Bean (known for “Horror Noire” and “Meosha 2023”) contributes as the cinematographer and assistant director through her company M.V.B. Films. The film is distributed by Brain Damage Films.
The cast includes Andrew Lloyd Preston (“Street Dreams Los Angeles,” “Duality”), Luke Endyan (“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”), Meosha Bean, and Chelsea Davis. Meosha Bean also serves as the cinematographer, while Andrew Lloyd Preston is the associate producer, and Alyson Trotman is the executive producer.
“Project Paranoia” offers a fresh take on the popular found-footage genre, exploring the dynamics of trust and sanity as two friends navigate a dark and unsettling scenario.
Director Monti assures audiences that the film is not merely a jump-scare fest but a profound exploration of modern social issues and psychological complexities. Fear-inducing emotions such as depression, technological obsession, anxiety, and isolation are central to the viewing experience.
Currently, Prime offers the film for rent at $4.99 and for purchase at $8.99. Stay tuned for more updates.
