David Gordon Green Breaks Down ‘The Exorcist: Believer’ Trailer in New Video
David Gordon Green Discusses New Trailer for “The Exorcist: Believer”.
Director David Gordon Green breaks down the new trailer for his upcoming film “The Exorcist: Believer” in a new video from Fandango. In the video, Green discusses the film’s themes, its use of iconic imagery from the original “The Exorcist,” and the return of Ellen Burstyn as Chris MacNeil.
Green also talks about the film’s use of “synchronized possessions,” which he describes as “when two people are possessed at the same time.” He says that this is a new concept for the “Exorcist” franchise and that it will allow him to explore the film’s themes of faith and doubt in a new way.
“The Exorcist: Believer” is set 12 years after the events of the original film. It follows Victor Fielding (Leslie Odom Jr.), a single father who must confront the evil that possessed his daughter Angela (Lidya Jewett). In his desperation, Victor seeks out the only person who can help him: Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn).
“The Exorcist: Believer” is scheduled to be released in theaters on October 6, 2023.
