‘Dario Argento Panico’ Trailer: New Documentary Explores the Master of Horror’s Cinematic Legacy

Italian horror maestro Dario Argento is the subject of a new documentary, Dario Argento Panico, which is set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival.

Directed by Simone Scafidi, the film follows Argento as he finishes writing the script for his last feature film in a hotel, while a film crew shoots a documentary about him.

“It is an immersive deep dive into the creative process and life of Argento,” the film’s press release says. “It features exclusive interviews with the legendary filmmaker and insight from other acclaimed directors like Gaspar Noé, Guillermo del Toro and Nicolas Winding Refn about his impact on the horror genre and generations of other directors.”

The film also features clips from Argento’s films, as well as behind-the-scenes footage.
