The home invasion thriller “Crumb Catcher” is set to hit theaters later this month, accompanied by a chilling new poster that promises an unpredictable journey ahead.

Written and directed by Chris Skotchdopole, with a story by Skotchdopole, Larry Fessenden, and Rigo Garay, Doppelgänger Releasing will debut the film in select theaters on July 19, 2024.

In “Crumb Catcher,” newlyweds Shane and Leah find their marital bliss tested when their honeymoon is disrupted by two eccentric individuals with a bizarre blackmail scheme. Determined to secure investors for their latest invention, these intruders refuse to take no for an answer.

Starring Rigo Garay, Ella Rae Peck, Lorraine Farris, and John Speredakos, the home invasion horror premiered at last year’s Fantastic Fest.

Director Chris Skotchdopole reflected on the film’s origins, stating, “I started writing ‘Crumb Catcher’ in 2016 amidst a divided country fueled by intense societal tensions. What emerged was a twisted narrative of home invasion, portraying two couples at opposite ends of the American Dream—a reflection of our absurd times that continue to shape us in 2024.”

Skotchdopole expressed his intention to deliver a thrilling and suspenseful experience while exploring deeper themes within the characters. He also praised the collaboration with Music Box Films and Doppelgänger Releasing, emphasizing their commitment to independent cinema and community.

The film’s producers include Chadd Harbold, Larry Fessenden, Brian Devine, Bonnie Timmermann, and James W. Skotchdopole.
