Complete ‘Jaws’ Movie Collection Swimming Back to Netflix in September 2023

The entire “Jaws” franchise, featuring the iconic great white shark, is splashing back on Netflix’s streaming platform this September.

Get ready to revisit the aquatic horrors of “Jaws,” “Jaws 2,” “Jaws 3,” and “Jaws: The Revenge,” all available on Netflix starting September 1.

It all began with Steven Spielberg’s legendary horror classic in 1975, an adaptation of Peter Benchley’s novel of the same name. For nearly half a century, this film has successfully kept beachgoers out of the water.

The late Roy Scheider’s courageous character, Martin Brody, managed to survive the terrifying events of the original film and returned in 1978 to confront yet another killer shark in “Jaws 2,” ultimately saving the town of Amity once again.

In 1983, the franchise ventured into the third dimension with “Jaws 3D,” which transported the shark attack terror to the depths of SeaWorld in Florida. This installment focused on Martin Brody’s sons, with Dennis Quaid taking on the role of Michael Brody. Despite its flaws, including gimmicky 3-D effects and a relatively bloodless plot, “Jaws 3D” has garnered some appreciation as a unique and progressive approach to the shark movie genre.

Finally, there’s “Jaws: The Revenge,” which marked the conclusion of the franchise in 1987. Lorraine Gray reprised her role as Ellen Brody for this polarizing fourth film, which revolved around a vengeful shark seemingly targeting the Brody family bloodline. The film memorably concluded with a gruesome showdown that left the shark impaled and exploding. Remarkably, screen legend Michael Caine survived the ordeal!

Prepare to dive back into the world of “Jaws” and experience the thrills, chills, and sometimes campy fun of the entire franchise when it returns to Netflix on September 1st.
