The long-awaited fourth installment in writer/director Stephen Cognetti’s found footage horror franchise, “Hell House LLC Origins: The Carmichael Manor,” is now available for streaming on Shudder. Set in 2021, the story follows a group of internet sleuths who venture to the remote Carmichael Manor, located deep in the woods of Rockland County, New York. The estate is infamous for the unsolved 1989 Carmichael family murders. Secrets hidden for decades and a lurking terror are waiting to be unveiled in this chilling tale.
“The Carmichael Manor” is a stand-alone origin story set in the present day, exploring the hotel’s mythology while introducing new characters and mysteries. A Haunting in Venice – Available on Digital and Hulu!
Hercule Poirot sets sail in “A Haunting in Venice,” a supernatural horror film directed by Kenneth Branagh, adapted from Agatha Christie’s novel “Hallowe’en Party.” Fresh out of theaters, “A Haunting in Venice” is now available on Digital outlets and Hulu. This is Branagh’s first foray into horror since “Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein” in 1994. The film, set in eerie post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve, features a stellar cast and follows the celebrated sleuth Hercule Poirot, who is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets when a guest is murdered at a séance.
The Elderly – Available on Blu-ray and VOD!
Raúl Cerezo and Fernando González Gómez, the directors of the Dark Star Pictures x Bloody Disgusting collaboration “The Passenger,” return with “The Elderly.” Dark Star Pictures brings this film to Blu-ray and various VOD outlets on October 31. After the sudden suicide of his wife, Manuel begins exhibiting violent and strange behavior. Soon, a series of paranormal events affect the local elderly, causing them to behave oddly. They seem to know something the young do not, and a sinister lust for blood emerges.
The movie stars Zorion Eguileor, Gustavo Salmerón, Paula Gallego, Irene Anula, Juan Acedo, and Ángela Gamonal. “The Elderly” is written by Raúl Cerezo, Javier Trigales, and Rubén Sánchez Trigos.
