Australia Sets the Stage for the Upcoming Shark Attack Thriller ‘Fear Below’
In a novel twist on the shark attack genre, Blue Fox Entertainment is set to launch sales for the period piece thriller, “Fear Below,” at the upcoming American Film Market, as reported by Screen Daily.
Blue Fox Entertainment holds the worldwide sales rights to this film produced by Bronte Pictures. “Fear Below,” directed by Matthew Holmes (known for “The Legend Of Ben Hall” and “The Cost”), unfolds its narrative against the backdrop of 1940s Australia. The story revolves around a team of skilled divers tasked with locating a sunken car in a river. However, their mission takes a perilous turn when they encounter a deadly bull shark lurking in the waters.
As events escalate, it’s revealed that the divers unwittingly work for a gang of ruthless criminals hell-bent on recovering stolen gold bullion. In an unexpected turn of events, these bank robbers prove to be as treacherous as the menacing predator beneath the water’s surface.
The film boasts a talented cast, including Hermione Corfield (“Sea Fever”), Will Fletcher (“The Rings Of Power”), Jake Ryan (“Wyrmwood: Apocalypse”), Clayton Watson (“Matrix Revolutions”), Josh McConville (“Elvis”), Kevin Dee (“Road To Boston”), Sam Parsonson (“Transfusion”), Jacob Nayingul (“Higher Ground”), and Arthur Angel (“The King’s Daughter”).
James Huntsman of Blue Fox Entertainment expressed his anticipation, stating, “Fear Below delivers a fresh and unique take on the shark genre. We are thrilled we found the right movie that will take audiences on an unexpected journey into the water.”
This promises to be a gripping and unconventional addition to the shark attack subgenre, offering audiences an immersive experience that combines historical drama with heart-pounding suspense.
