At HBO Max “The Conjuring” TV Series is in Development
Warner Bros. Discovery today revealed that a television series on The Conjuring popular franchise is being developed for the Max streaming service, The Conjuring World is now extending beyond the big screen.
This afternoon, according to Deadline, “Peter Safran is working with Warner Bros. Television to create a drama series based on the New Line Cinema film franchise.”
The series “will continue the story established in the feature films,” according to the series’ plot summary.
The first small-screen installment of the franchise will be made by Peter Safran’s The Safran Company and James Wan’s Atomic Monster Productions in collaboration with WBTV.
Currently, The Conjuring, Annabelle, The Conjuring 2, Annabelle: Creation, The Nun, Annabelle Comes Home, and The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It are the seven movies that make up this world. The Nun 2, the ninth movie, will be released later this year.
