In an exciting update, Disney officially announced the production of ‘Hocus Pocus 3‘ just a few days after the initial confirmation. According to The Wrap, Anne Fletcher, who previously directed ‘Hocus Pocus 2,’ is set to return as the director for the third installment of the beloved franchise.

Jen D’Angelo, the talented writer behind ‘Hocus Pocus 2,’ is also on board to pen the script for the upcoming movie. The second film garnered immense success on Disney+ during the Halloween season, shattering streaming records and leaving no doubt that a sequel was in high demand.

In an interview with THR last October, Adam Shankman, the producer of ‘Hocus Pocus 2,’ hinted at the possibility of further projects centered around the new characters introduced in the sequel. Notably, Whitney Peak as Becca, Belissa Escobedo as Izzy, and Lilia Buckingham as Cassie formed a fresh group of sisters who united to defeat the Sandersons. Becca’s journey, particularly her discovery of her own magical abilities, was masterfully handled by director Anne Fletcher.

Shankman expressed his admiration for Fletcher’s approach, stating, “[Director] Anne [Fletcher] I think handled [Becca’s character arc] really, really beautifully. We went back and forth on how that was going to work, if it was going to work, forever, and Anne was just like, ‘This is what we’re going to do.’ And I think it’s great. And it creates a lot of excitement about potential spinoffs.”

The future of the ‘Hocus Pocus’ franchise appears promising, with the potential for both sequels and spinoffs. Fans can expect the return of Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy reprising their iconic roles as the Sanderson Sisters in ‘Hocus Pocus 3.’

Stay tuned for more updates on ‘Hocus Pocus 3’ as further details emerge. The enchanting journey continues!
