Amber Heard’s Intense Thriller ‘In the Fire’ Set for October Theatrical and Digital Debut
Saban Films Unveils Thriller ‘In the Fire,’ Starring Amber Heard of ‘Aquaman,’ for Simultaneous Theatrical, Digital, and VOD Release on October 13th.
Directed by Conor Allyn and set in the 1890s, ‘In the Fire‘ follows a New York doctor tending to a troubled boy with mysterious abilities on a remote plantation. This sparks a clash of science and religion with the local priest, who sees the boy as possessed by the Devil. The film was shot in Guatemala and Italy, featuring a cast including Eduardo Noriega, Sophie Cannell, Luca Calvani, and Yari Gugliucci. The movie is produced by Monika Bacardi, Pascal Borno, Alain Gillissen, and Andrea Iervolino, with Conor Allyn as an executive producer.
Amber Heard describes ‘In the Fire’ as “a meditation on the almost supernatural powers of love told through a strong-willed and independent woman at the turn of the 20th century.” Conor Allyn hopes the film marks the beginning of a “mega-comeback” for Heard, praising her as a formidable presence on and off-camera.
