When the initial announcement was made, it was confirmed that Christina Hendricks would be leading in “Reckoner.” However, Deadline reports a shift in casting, with Noomi Rapace (known for “Prometheus”) now taking the helm.

According to Deadline, Noomi Rapace is stepping in to replace Christina Hendricks, whose departure is attributed to scheduling conflicts.

Nissar Modi, acclaimed for his work on “Z for Zachariah,” assumes both writing and directing duties for “Reckoner.”

The narrative centers on an affluent woman whose intricately built life is disrupted by a young man harboring a closely guarded secret from her past.

The film is an adaptation of a short story penned by Rachel Ingalls.

Production is a joint effort between XYZ Films and Two & Two Pictures.

In a statement shared with Deadline, Two & Two Pictures expressed enthusiasm, saying, “We are thrilled to collaborate with such an exceptionally talented team for ‘Reckoner.’ Having Noomi Rapace on board to complement Nissar’s dynamic directorial debut is truly an honor.”
