Adventure Thriller ‘Bermuda’ to Be Helmed by Director Marc Webb for Skydance
Skydance is embarking on a thrilling journey to the enigmatic Bermuda Triangle with their upcoming adventure thriller titled “Bermuda.” The latest development in this project sees acclaimed director Marc Webb, known for his work on “The Amazing Spider-Man,” taking the helm.
Previously, it was Scott Derrickson, the director of “Sinister,” who had been attached to direct the film.
According to Deadline, the project is still in its early stages, lacking a writer at this point. This situation is expected to persist until the conclusion of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) strike.
Insiders familiar with the project have indicated that once the strike concludes and a writer can be brought on board, Marc Webb will be involved in a consulting capacity for the screenplay, although he is not anticipated to be a co-writer.
The forthcoming movie will be situated in the mysterious expanse of the Caribbean known as the Bermuda Triangle, infamous for its history of unexplained disappearances involving planes and ships over the years.
Producing “Bermuda” for Skydance are David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger, with Aimee Rivera overseeing the project on behalf of Skydance.
