A24 and Chernin Entertainment, known for the Fear Street trilogy, are collaborating on a new horror film titled Altar. Variety has shared the first details about the project.

Egor Abramenko, director of Sputnik, will helm the film. While specific plot details are under wraps, the film is described as a horror story about a young boy’s challenging summer, which forces him to mature quickly.

The cast includes Lily Collias (Good One), January Jones (Mad Men), David Krumholtz (Oppenheimer), Kyle MacLachlan (Fallout), and newcomer Hudson Behling.

The screenplay for Altar was written by Will Soodik (*Westworld*), based on a short story by Philip Fracassi.
