A Sequel to the Last Year Fear-of-Heights Thriller “Fall” is in the Works
In Lionsgate’s Fall, a heart-pounding drama of survival from the makers of 47 Meters Down, released in August 2022, fear reached new heights. According to a recent article in Deadline, “Acrophobia sufferers turn away now: the creators of the vertigo thriller Fall are preparing a sequel after the movie became an unexpected worldwide sensation on Netflix.”
“British producer Tea Shop Productions and filmmaker Scott Mann are talking about concepts for a second movie,” the website’s article reads.
James Harris of Tea Shop says to the website, “We’ve got a few of concepts we’re kicking around,”. We don’t want to create anything that seems like a knockoff or is inferior to the original.
Fall was released in theaters last year and made an outstanding $17 million before coming to Netflix in the UK and becoming a hit for the streaming giant.
The movie from last year…
For Becky (Grace Caroline Currey) and Hunter (Virginia Gardner), who are best friends, life is all about overcoming obstacles and pushing boundaries. Nevertheless, after ascending 2,000 feet to the summit of a lonely, deserted radio tower, they are left trapped with no way back down.
In this adrenaline-fueled thriller, Becky and Hunter’s expert climbing abilities will be put to the ultimate test as they struggle to survive the elements, a lack of supplies, and dizzying heights.
Scott Mann (Final Score) produced and directed Fall, which also starred Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen, “The Walking Dead”), and wrote it with Jonathan Frank (Final Score).
