With an ode to the 90s found footage films, “Invoking Yell” embraces a dark twist, immersing audiences in a chilling black metal experience. Valladares expresses his passion for the genre, drawing inspiration from iconic works like “The Blair Witch Project” and other found footage classics, combining his love for metal music to create a truly exceptional cinematic journey. Set in 1997, “Invoking Yell” delves into the unsettling journey of three metalhead young women, who venture into the woods to record their black metal band, Invoking Yell’s demo tape. As they document their experiences, they unknowingly capture eerie and haunting sinfonias in the woods.

The film stars Maria Jesus Marcone, Macarena Carrere, and Andrea Ozuljevich in gripping performances that heighten the sense of dread and suspense.
