The Spanish horror film “The Boogeyman: The Origin of the Myth” (El Hombre Del Saco) has secured distribution in multiple territories, including Latin America, the United States, and Canada, as announced during the Cannes Film Festival. Mantícora has obtained the rights for release in Latin America, the U.S., and Canada, while Amazon’s Prime Video has acquired Spanish SVOD rights, and Antena 3 has secured free-TV rights.
Directed by Ángel Gómez Hernández and written by Juma Fodde, Ignacio García Cucucovich, Ángel Gómez Hernández, and Gustavo Hernández, the film follows a group of teenagers who uncover the chilling truth that the legendary Boogeyman is real after several children mysteriously vanish in their small town.
