‘Brick’: Matthias Schweighöfer Leads Netflix’s New Summer Thriller

Netflix has unveiled its Summer 2025 movie lineup, and while horror fans may not find many frights, one upcoming thriller definitely stands out: Brick, a tense new sci-fi horror-thriller starring Matthias Schweighöfer (Army of the Dead).
Set to debut exclusively on Netflix July 10, 2025, Brick centers on an ordinary morning turned nightmarish.
Plot Summary:
Schweighöfer plays Tim, who wakes up alongside Olivia (Ruby O. Fee) to discover they’re trapped inside their apartment. Overnight, a futuristic, impenetrable wall has sealed them in—cutting them off from the outside world. Soon, they realize their entire building is enclosed, and they’re not the only ones stuck.
As panic spreads, the residents must band together to solve the mystery:
Who built the wall? Why are they trapped? And can they escape before it’s too late?
Directed by Philip Koch, Brick blends psychological suspense, sci-fi mystery, and claustrophobic terror. The cast also includes Frederick Lau, Salber Lee Williams, Murathan Muslu, Axel Werner, Sira-Anna Faal, and Alexander Beyer.
Get ready for an intense and paranoid thriller when Brick hits Netflix this summer.
