‘Bring Her Back’ Trailer Unveils Haunting New A24 Film from Talk to Me Directors

Two-time Academy Award nominee Sally Hawkins (‘The Shape of Water’) is set to star in ‘Bring Her Back’, a chilling new A24 horror film from the directors of ‘Talk to Me’, Danny and Michael Philippou. The film is slated for a theatrical release on May 30, 2025, and a new preview trailer has just dropped to stir up anticipation for the Easter holiday.
The film, rated “R” for its “strong disturbing bloody violent content, some grisly images, graphic nudity, underage drinking, and language,” promises to be a harrowing ride for horror fans.
The story follows a brother and sister who stumble upon a terrifying ritual while staying at the isolated home of their new foster mother.
Joining Hawkins in the cast are Billy Barratt, Sora Wong, Jonah Wren Phillips, Sally-Anne Upton, Stephen Phillips, and Mischa Heywood. Directed by Danny Philippou and Michael Philippou, the film is based on a screenplay written by Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman.
The film is produced by Samantha Jennings and Kristina Ceyton.
At a recent preview event, Danny and Michael Philippou opened up about the pressure of following up their ‘Talk to Me’ success: “It was more anxiety-ridden because you have A24 to let down. You have Sally Hawkins to let down. Everything you do feels like there’s an extra weight to it. So, you just throw everything out the window, and it feels like you’re starting from scratch. Then, you’re in too deep, and you feel like you’re drowning. You ask yourself, ‘Why the hell did we do this?’ But then, once it’s done, you look back and realize it was all worth it.”
