Jamie Lee Curtis to Star in and Produce Psychological Horror Film ‘Sender’

Jamie Lee Curtis is set to star in and produce the upcoming psychological horror film ‘Sender’, according to Deadline.
Joining her in the cast are Britt Lower (Severance), David Dastmalchian (Late Night with the Devil), and Anna Baryshnikov (Love Lies Bleeding).
Sender marks the feature directorial debut of Russell Goldman, who also penned the script. The film is based on his 2022 short Return to Sender, which Curtis also produced and which was later adapted into a 2023 Black List screenplay.
Currently in production, the story centers on a woman (played by Lower) who falls victim to an unsettling e-commerce package delivery scam. As the anonymous messages grow increasingly personal, she becomes obsessed with uncovering the identity of the sender.
Curtis is producing the film under her Comet Pictures banner, alongside Molly Hallam and Jake Katofsky. Verve Ventures is handling North American sales.
“I am so proud to be a part of Russell’s first movie, the first of many,” Curtis told Deadline. “The little seed that Comet Pictures planted has now grown into a feature filled with talented artists surrounding a new and exciting filmmaker.”
Curtis and Goldman previously collaborated on the eco-horror graphic novel Mother Nature, which Curtis is set to direct for Blumhouse.
