Zak Bagans Launches Scarehouse Films, a Horror Movie Production Company
Zak Bagans, the renowned paranormal investigator known for Ghost Adventures, is venturing into the world of horror filmmaking with the launch of his new production company, Scarehouse Films, as reported by Deadline.
Scarehouse Films, initially backed by a multi-million dollar investment from Bagans, plans to produce three independent horror films starting in 2025.
Bagans has built a significant presence in the paranormal world, gaining fame as a television personality, museum operator, and author. Beyond hosting the long-running Ghost Adventures series, which has been airing since 2008, he has created other paranormal shows like Paranormal Challenge and Deadly Possessions. On the film front, Bagans wrote and directed the 2018 documentary Demon House and also owns a haunted museum in Las Vegas, which opened in 2017.
In 2022, Bagans signed a three-year deal with Discovery+, ensuring that Ghost Adventures will continue on the streaming platform at least through 2024. The series, which debuted on Discovery+ in January 2021, has consistently ranked as a top performer on the service. Additionally, Bagans recently partnered with filmmaker Eli Roth for The Haunted Museum, a semi-scripted series that brings to life the terrifying stories behind the haunted artifacts in his museum.
Bagans has also made guest appearances on Halloween Wars on Food Network, offering inspiration for spooky creations on the show’s seasonal baking competition.
