Check out the official trailer for Squid Game Season 2.

Season 2 of Squid Game will feature a talented ensemble cast, including both rising stars and seasoned actors. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who earned an Emmy for the first season, will return to direct, write, and produce the second season.

The South Korean series follows hundreds of financially struggling contestants who accept a mysterious invitation to compete in deadly children’s games, with a tempting prize and dangerous stakes. The reward? A staggering 45.6 billion-won cash prize.

In the second season, three years after surviving Squid Game, Player 456, Gi-hun, is determined to expose the people behind the deadly games and put an end to their brutal sport. Using his newfound wealth to fund his investigation, Gi-hun begins his search by tracking down the man in a sharp suit playing ddakji in the subway. However, his pursuit quickly escalates, and the path to dismantling the organization turns out to be more perilous than expected. To truly end the game, Gi-hun must re-enter it.

Returning cast members include Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo, alongside new faces like Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun, Roh Jae-won, Jo Yu-ri, and Won Ji-an, who bring fresh characters to the intense new season.

Squid Game was created by Hwang Dong-hyuk.
