‘Scream 7’ Casts Isabel May as Sidney Prescott’s Daughter
Neve Campbell is reprising her role as Sidney Prescott in Scream VII, and this time, she’s bringing her daughter into the horror. Deadline reports that Isabel May, known for her role in 1883, has been cast as Sidney’s daughter in the upcoming sequel.
The seventh installment of the iconic slasher franchise is scheduled to hit theaters on February 27, 2026.
Scream VII will be directed by original Scream writer Kevin Williamson. The film, which is currently untitled, is written by Guy Busick, based on a story by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick.
Campbell has hinted that this installment will return to the series’ roots, with Sidney Prescott taking center stage once again. Isabel May’s casting suggests a significant time jump since Scream VI, especially considering Sidney’s absence from the previous film as she stayed home to care for her young children. This indicates that Scream VII will bring the Ghostface slayings directly into Sidney’s family.
Though Courteney Cox is expected to return as Gale Weathers, her involvement has not been officially confirmed yet.
Sidney Prescott was featured in a supporting role in the 2022 Scream, but Campbell notably did not return for Scream VI due to a pay dispute. Directed by Radio Silence, Scream VI introduced new characters alongside the original ones, but much has changed in the franchise since its release.
The series has faced some recent drama, with new leads Melissa Barrera and Jenna Ortega both departing the project. Barrera was let go, and Ortega later announced she wouldn’t return. It remains unclear whether Jasmin Savoy Brown or Mason Gooding will reprise their roles in Scream VII.
Producers for the film include James Vanderbilt, William Sherak, and Paul Neinstein of Project X Entertainment.
