Director Leigh Whannell (The Invisible Man) returns to the world of Universal Monsters with Wolf Man, and today Universal Pictures UK has unveiled a new trailer packed with fresh footage not seen in the U.S. versions. Fans of the upcoming horror film can check out this new look at the chilling story below.

Wolf Man, produced by Universal and Blumhouse, is set to howl into theaters on January 17, 2025. The film stars Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott (Poor Things) as Blake, a San Francisco husband and father who inherits his childhood home in rural Oregon after his father mysteriously disappears and is presumed dead. With his marriage to his ambitious wife, Charlotte (Julia Garner, Inventing Anna), on the rocks, Blake convinces Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit the remote property with their young daughter, Ginger (Matilda Firth, Hullraisers).

But as the family nears the farmhouse in the dead of night, they are attacked by an unseen creature. In a desperate bid for safety, they barricade themselves inside the house while the animal prowls outside. As the night unfolds, Blake begins to exhibit increasingly bizarre behavior, transforming into something unrecognizable. Charlotte is soon faced with a terrifying choice: Is the monster outside their home more dangerous than the one within?

The film also stars Sam Jaeger (The Handmaid’s Tale), Ben Prendergast (The Sojourn Audio Drama), and Benedict Hardie (The Invisible Man).

Wolf Man is written by Leigh Whannell and Corbett Tuck, with additional writing credits for Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo (Dumb Money). The film is produced by Blumhouse founder Jason Blum, along with Ryan Gosling (The Fall Guy, Lost River). Executive producers include Whannell, Beatriz Sequeira, Mel Turner, and Ken Kao. The film is presented by Universal Pictures and Blumhouse as a Gosling/Waypoint Entertainment production, in association with Cloak & Co.
