Kate Siegel & David Dastmalchian to Star in Zombie Film ‘Epilogue’ with Mike Flanagan Producing
The upcoming action-horror film Epilogue, produced by acclaimed genre filmmaker Mike Flanagan, has tapped Kate Siegel and David Dastmalchian as its leads, Deadline reports.
Both actors have established themselves as fan favorites in the horror space. Siegel, known for her standout roles in Flanagan’s projects such as Hush and the hit series The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, and The Fall of the House of Usher, is also making waves as a director. She recently helmed a segment for V/H/S/BEYOND on Shudder.
Dastmalchian, who starred in this yearâs indie horror hit Late Night with the Devil, has also appeared in recent genre films like The Boogeyman, The Last Voyage of the Demeter, and The Life of Chuck.
Directed by Michael Fimognari (The Fall of the House of Usher), Epilogue is set one year after the zombie apocalypse is believed to have ended. The film follows a desperate couple on a perilous journey to find a cure for their infected daughter.
The screenplay for Epilogue was penned by Luke Barnett and Tanner Thomason. Sales for the project will be launched at the upcoming American Film Market by The Coven, Deadline notes.
Todd Garner (Mortal Kombat) produces through Broken Road Productions, with Courtney Petrakis, Brittney McDade, and Mike Flanagan (Doctor Sleep) producing for Red Room Pictures.
