Netflix Unveils ‘Fear Street 1988: Prom Queen’ Set for 2025 Release
Get ready to head back to Shadyside! Netflix has officially begun production on the latest installment of the Fear Street franchise, titled Fear Street: Prom Queen, which is set to debut in 2025.
Based on the promotional artwork, it looks like the senior prom in 1988 is going to be particularly bloody.
In Fear Street: Prom Queen, viewers will re-enter Shadyside during prom season at Shadyside High. The school’s elite group of It Girls is immersed in their typical fierce competition for the crown. However, when an unexpected outsider is nominated, a series of mysterious disappearances among the girls throws the class of ’88 into chaos on what should be a memorable prom night.
The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, featuring India Fowler (The Nevers), Suzanna Son (Red Rocket), Fina Strazza (Paper Girls), David Iacono (The Summer I Turned Pretty), Ella Rubin (The Idea of You), and Chris Klein (Sweet Magnolias). Lili Taylor (Outer Range) and Katherine Waterston (The End We Start From) will also star, with Matt Palmer directing this fourth chapter in the franchise.
