The Disney+ series Goosebumps is set to return for a new second season, now titled Goosebumps: The Vanishing. The new season will premiere on January 10, 2025, on both Disney+ and Hulu.

The previously announced regular cast for Season 2 includes David Schwimmer (Anthony), Ana Ortiz (Jen), Sam McCarthy (Devin), Jayden Bartels (Cece), Elijah Cooper (CJ), Galilea La Salvia (Frankie), and Francesca Noel (Alex).

New cast members include Arjun Athalye (Are You Afraid of the Dark?) as Sameer, Eloise Payet (The End of the Party) as Hannah, Christopher Paul Richards (The Kids Are Alright) as Matty, and Kyra Tantao (ZOMBIES 3) as Nicole—four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994, a key element in the storyline for the present-day characters.

Stony Blyden (American Born Chinese) joins the cast as Trey, Frankie’s boyfriend, while Sakina Jaffrey (Billions) plays Ramona, a mysterious woman.

Based on R.L. Stine’s iconic book series, Goosebumps: The Vanishing will consist of eight episodes. The official synopsis reveals that the story follows fraternal twins Devin and Cece, who are navigating life with their recently divorced father, Anthony. When they sense a lurking threat, they uncover dark secrets that lead to a complex mystery involving the disappearance of four teenagers in 1994.

The first season of the Goosebumps reboot plunged viewers into a world of mystery as five high schoolers investigated the tragic death of a teen named Harold Biddle, while also revealing secrets from their parents’ past.

Books inspiring Season 2 include Stay Out of the Basement, The Haunted Car, Monster Blood, The Girl Who Cried Monster, The Ghost Next Door, and Welcome to Camp Nightmare.

Goosebumps: The Vanishing is developed by Nicholas Stoller and Rob Letterman, along with showrunner Hilary Winston. The trio serves as executive producers alongside Neal H. Moritz, Iole Lucchese and Caitlin Friedman from Scholastic Entertainment, Pavun Shetty, Conor Welch, Erin O’Malley, Karl Frankenfield, and James Eagan.
