Following her collaboration with Sam Raimi on ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’, Deadline reports that Rachel McAdams is in talks to star in Raimi’s next horror film, ‘Send Help‘.

Raimi is set to return to the horror genre with this upcoming project for 20th Century Studios, and sources indicate that McAdams is in the early stages of negotiations. However, details remain unconfirmed at this time.

‘Send Help’ is described as a two-hander horror-thriller set on an island, drawing comparisons to Rob Reiner’s ‘Misery’ and Robert Zemeckis’ ‘Cast Away’.

The screenplay is penned by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, known for ‘Freddy vs. Jason’ and ‘Friday the 13th’ (2009). Raimi will produce the film alongside Zainab Azizi under Raimi Productions.

Although Raimi recently directed Marvel’s horror-infused ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’, ‘Send Help’ marks his first full horror film since ‘Drag Me to Hell’, which was released in 2009 and followed his successful ‘Spider-Man’ trilogy.
