Finn Wolfhard, known for his roles in “Stranger Things” and “Ghostbusters: Afterlife,” is making his mark in the horror-comedy genre with his upcoming film, Hell of a Summer. Wolfhard co-wrote, co-directed, and stars in the movie, which will be distributed by NEON (Longlegs) and is scheduled for a theatrical release in 2025. While an exact release date has not yet been announced, anticipation is already building.

Wolfhard co-wrote and co-directed the film with Billy Bryk, who also appeared in “Ghostbusters: Afterlife.” Both actors take on leading roles in Hell of a Summer, alongside a talented cast that includes Fred Hechinger (“Fear Street 1994”), D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai (“Reservation Dogs”), Abby Quinn (“Mad About You”), and Pardis Saremi (“Career Opportunities in Murder and Mayhem”).

The film is produced by Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan of Aggregate Films, Jay Van Hoy of Parts & Labor, along with Wolfhard, Bryk, and Hechinger. Hell of a Summer is fully financed by 30West, which is also executive producing and co-representing U.S. rights alongside CAA Media Finance.
