Adam MacDonald (known for ‘Backcountry’ and ‘Pyewacket’) is set to return this summer with his latest survival thriller, ‘Out Come the Wolves’, which is slated for both theatrical and VOD release on August 30.

In ‘Out Come the Wolves’, the story centers on a woman (Missy Peregrym) who takes her fiancé (Damon Runyan) to her remote cabin in the wilderness to introduce him to her longtime male friend (Joris Jarsky). As tensions mount between the two men, a deer hunting trip plunges them into a harrowing descent into nature’s darkest depths, leaving behind a chilling trail of horror.

The screenplay for ‘Out Come the Wolves’ was penned by Enuka Okuma, with the story crafted by Joris Jarsky, Adam MacDonald, and Enuka Okuma.

Adam MacDonald, a Montreal native now based in Toronto, first gained acclaim with his directorial debut ‘Backcountry’, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and was acquired by IFC Films. MacDonald’s second feature, ‘Pyewacket’ (2017), also premiered at TIFF and was subsequently released by IFC Films.

MacDonald’s television credits include directing the entire third season of Aaron Martin’s “Slasher: Solstice” for Netflix, as well as seasons four and five of the series for AMC’s Shudder. Recently, he completed ‘Be Mine’, the first virtual reality horror movie experience for Meta, written and produced by Eli Roth and starring Peyton List.

‘Out Come the Wolves’ is produced by High Park Entertainment in collaboration with December Films.
