A24 has secured the domestic distribution rights to the upcoming thriller ‘Famous’, Deadline reports. The film, directed by Jody Hill (known for *Observe and Report* and *Eastbound & Down*), features Zac Efron in dual roles.

The story centers on Lance Dunkquist, who possesses a life-changing asset: he looks exactly like a Hollywood legend, James Jansen. With his striking resemblance to the iconic actor, Lance sets out for Los Angeles with one goal in mind—becoming famous, no matter what it takes.

Efron will portray both Lance Dunkquist and James Jansen in this adaptation of Blake Crouch’s novel. The screenplay has been adapted by Chad Hodge, known for Wayward Pines.
