‘Hell Hole’: Adams Family’s Monster Movie Set to Premiere on Shudder in August
Prior to its world premiere at Fantasia later this summer, the latest cinematic offering from The Adams Family (known for their previous works “Hellbender” and “Where the Devil Roams”) has secured a release date.
According to Rue Morgue’s initial report, Shudder is slated to debut “Hell Hole” on August 23.
Previewing the film, Fantasia describes it as a journey through the Canadian oil fields that sparks the imagination of the Adams family, leading them to create “Hell Hole,” an indie rock-n-roll monster movie set in a remote fracking site.
Renowned for their hands-on approach, filmmakers John and Lulu Adams, along with Toby Poser, have teamed up with Shudder, joining forces with the creators of “The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs” and FX maestro Todd Masters to craft their latest project. Filmed in Serbia with a local cast and crew, “Hell Hole” promises to deliver a blend of absurdity, rebellion, and dark humor, reminiscent of classic sci-fi horror while infusing themes of biological and environmental terror intertwined with explorations of gender and bodily autonomy.
The ensemble cast features Toby Poser, John Adams, Max Portman, Anders Hove, Olivera Perunicic, Aleksandar Trmcic, Petar Arsic, and Bruno Veljanovski.
