Get ready for the curtains to rise because Warner Bros. is ramping up the excitement for M. Night Shyamalan’s latest thriller, “Trap,” with a fresh wave of marketing, featuring a new poster and an original song.

In this upcoming suspenseful tale, Saleka Shyamalan takes the spotlight, portraying fictional pop sensation Lady Raven. Today, audiences get an exclusive sneak peek into the world of Lady Raven with a first-listen preview of her song “Release,” performed by Saleka herself.

Immerse yourself in the haunting melody and check out the striking new poster for “Trap” below.

Scheduled for nationwide release on August 9, 2024, “Trap” marks Shyamalan’s sixteenth feature film, adding another chapter to his illustrious, Oscar-nominated career.

In this chilling narrative starring Josh Hartnett, a father and his teenage daughter find themselves ensnared in a web of darkness and intrigue when they attend a seemingly innocuous pop concert.

However, as unveiled in the official trailer for “Trap,” this concert is anything but ordinary—it’s a meticulously crafted trap aimed at capturing The Butcher, a ruthless serial killer who has eluded authorities for far too long.

Describing the film as “very bizarre” and “very dark,” Hartnett hints at the spine-tingling journey that awaits audiences.

Joining Hartnett in this mysterious odyssey are a talented ensemble cast including Hayley Mills, Marnie McPhail, Vanessa Smythe, Saleka Shyamalan, Scott Ian MacDougall, Kristi Woods, and Cali Lorella, as listed on IMDb.

“Trap” also marks Shyamalan’s debut under his new deal with Warner Bros., signaling an exciting chapter in his filmmaking journey with what has been described as a “multi-year first-look directing and producing agreement.”
