M. Night Shyamalan is set to captivate audiences once again with his latest thriller “Trap” hitting theaters in August, but first, audiences are in for a treat with the feature debut of his daughter, Ishana Night Shyamalan.

Director Ishana Night Shyamalan, known for her work on “Servant,” ventures into the horror genre with “The Watchers,” slated for release in theaters on June 14, 2024. New Line Cinema has just unveiled a gripping new trailer for the film, offering viewers a deeper insight into its eerie narrative.

The trailer for “The Watchers” provides a tantalizing glimpse into the mysterious plot, teasing a sinister tale unfolding in the heart of a dense forest. Observed by enigmatic entities, a group of humans find themselves unwitting participants in a chilling reality show of sorts, where survival is anything but guaranteed. As the characters grapple with the haunting presence of these unseen watchers, ominous revelations surface, hinting at a deeper purpose behind their presence.

Starring Dakota Fanning, Georgina Campbell, Oliver Finnegan, and Olwen Fouere, “The Watchers” promises a gripping blend of mystery and horror, with Ishana Night Shyamalan at the helm, showcasing shades of her father’s storytelling prowess.

The film follows Mina, portrayed by Dakota Fanning, a young artist stranded in the untamed wilderness of western Ireland. Seeking refuge, she finds herself ensnared alongside three strangers, their every move scrutinized by the mysterious watchers lurking in the shadows.

Produced by M. Night Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan, and Nimitt Mankad, with Jo Homewood and Stephen Dembitzer serving as executive producers, “The Watchers” boasts a talented behind-the-scenes team including cinematographer Eli Arenson, production designer Ferdia Murphy, editor Job ter Burg, and costume designer Frank Gallacher. The haunting musical score is composed by Abel Korzeniowski.
