Prepare to meet “Mommy Meanest,” a new thriller coming to Lifetime later this year, starring Lisa Rinna from “American Horror Stories” alongside her daughter Delilah Hamlin, as reported by Deadline.

Based on actual events, the movie follows the story of a teenage girl with a history of emotional trauma who becomes the target of relentless cyber-bullying. Shockingly, she discovers that the culprit behind the horrific texts is none other than her own mother, played by Lisa Rinna.

Delilah Hamlin takes on the role of Summer, the friend of the cyber-bullied teen, adding an intriguing dynamic to the storyline.

The synopsis provides further insight into the plot: Madelyn (played by Rinna), a divorced mother with a close bond with her daughter Mia (portrayed by Briana Skye), is thrown into turmoil when Mia, on the brink of leaving for college, starts spending more time with her new boyfriend. Panicked by her daughter’s emerging independence, Madelyn becomes determined to unravel the mystery behind the degrading texts Mia receives.

As the protective mother investigates, the plot thickens with the revelation of the true identity of the cyber-bully. The escalating threats force Mia to question if her tormentor is someone much closer than she could have ever imagined.

Directed by Greg Beeman, known for “Murdaugh Murders: The Movie,” and written by Gregg McBride (“Would You Kill for Me? The Mary Bailey Story”), “Mommy Meanest” promises a gripping narrative of familial relationships and the dark side of digital harassment. Lisa Rinna is also serving as an executive producer, adding her touch to this suspenseful thriller.
