Teresa Sutherland, known for her work on “The Wind” and “Midnight Mass,” marks her directorial debut with “Lovely, Dark, and Deep,” a cosmic horror film set in a familiar genre landscape. The official trailer for the movie has been released by XYZ Films, along with details about its upcoming release.

“Lovely, Dark, and Deep” is scheduled to hit theaters and Video On Demand (VOD) on February 22, 2024.

The psychological horror unfolds around Lennon, portrayed by Georgina Campbell (Barbarian), who seizes the opportunity to become a back-country ranger at a secluded outpost. As she adjusts to the solitary life in the wilderness, Lennon senses a malevolent presence lurking in the shadows.

Motivated by the need for answers, Lennon embarks on a perilous journey through the foreboding landscape, driven by a longstanding mystery that has haunted her since childhood.

The cast includes Nick Blood (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Wai Ching Ho (Hustlers).

Produced by Josh Waller under Woodhead Creative, Stefanie Coimbra serves as an executive producer for House of Quest Films. The film also features executive producers Molly C. Quinn, Matthew M. Welty, and Elan Gale representing QWGmire.
