Following Netflix’s acquisition of “It’s What’s Inside” at Sundance 2024, another standout genre film that premiered at the festival has secured distribution.
NEON has acquired the rights to Steven Soderbergh’s ghost story, “Presence,” as reported by Deadline. The site mentions, “While the exact deal number is undisclosed, the competitive nature of the acquisition, involving around 10 bidders, suggests a substantial sum for this thriller that has received consistently positive reviews at the festival.”
The logline for “Presence,” as provided by Deadline, follows a family moving into a suburban house, convinced they are not alone. A supernatural force infiltrates the house, taking a particular interest in the couple’s daughter.
