Blue Finch Films has secured the global rights for the upcoming horror film “Mom,” as reported by Variety. The outlet also provided an exclusive first look image from the movie.

According to Variety, Blue Finch will present the film at Berlin’s European Film Market (EFM) in February, with the world premiere scheduled to take place at FrightFest Glasgow in March.

In the horror movie “Mom,” Emily Hampshire (“Schitt’s Creek,” “Appendage”) takes the lead role, accompanied by François Arnaud (“Marlowe”) and Christian Convery (“Cocaine Bear”).

The storyline revolves around a struggling mother who faces abandonment by her family and partner following a harrowing incident. Plunging into isolation, she becomes the target of a malevolent entity determined to force her to relive her darkest moments.

Making his feature directorial debut with “Mom” is Adam O’Brien, known for his work on “Bloodbath” and “Banshee.”

Expressing excitement about the premiere at FrightFest Glasgow, O’Brien stated, “We are thrilled to premiere at Frightfest Glasgow, an always-exciting top genre-festival that has honored some of our favorite films in the past. We are in great company and cannot wait to share our movie – and these incredible performances – with its discerning audience.”
