Damian McCarthy, the writer/director who marked his feature debut with the Irish horror film “Caveat” in 2021 (currently available for streaming on Shudder), is making a return this year with a new cinematic venture.

Recently unveiled as part of the SXSW 2024 lineup, Damian McCarthy’s much-anticipated second movie is titled “Oddity.” A sneak peek image has been released, providing a first look at what to expect from the upcoming film.

“In this new supernatural spectacle from Damian McCarthy, the director of ‘Caveat,’ a blind medium delves into the mystery surrounding her sister’s demise, aided by a chilling wooden mannequin.”

The cast of “Oddity” includes Gwilym Lee, Carolyn Bracken, Tadhg Murphy, Caroline Menton, Steve Wall, Jonathan French, and Joe Rooney. The film is set to have its World Premiere at SXSW in March.

Producers for “Oddity” are Katie Holly, Laura Tunstall, and Evan Horan.
