“Babygirl”: Director of ‘Bodies Bodies Bodies’ Joins A24 for Erotic Thriller Featuring Nicole Kidman
Fresh from the success of last year’s ‘Bodies Bodies Bodies,’ A24 and director Halina Reijn reunite for ‘Babygirl,’ an upcoming erotic thriller boasting an impressive ensemble.
Confirmed to headline the cast are Nicole Kidman, Antonio Banderas, and Harris Dickinson, confirming earlier speculations. Joining them are Sophie Wilde from ‘Talk to Me’ fame and the seasoned talent of Jean Reno.
Reijn takes the helm as both screenwriter and director for ‘Babygirl.’
The storyline revolves around “A successful CEO who embarks on a clandestine affair with her much younger intern.”
Producing the film are David Hinojosa of 2AM, partnering with Reijn from MAN UP Film, and A24, providing financial backing for the project. Executives from 2AM—Julia Oh, Zach Nutman, and Christine D’Souza Gelb—will serve as executive producers. This collaboration marks Reijn’s second venture with A24, following her satirical slasher ‘Bodies Bodies Bodies,’ also produced by Hinojosa.
Additionally, A24 has acquired Reijn’s directorial debut, ‘Instinct.’
