In the highly-anticipated slasher sequel, “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2,” the beloved bear with a sweet tooth will be making a terrifying transformation with a striking new appearance. This sequel is promising to be bigger, bloodier, and more thrilling.

The Hollywood Reporter has unveiled an exclusive sneak peek of “Blood and Honey 2,” offering fans a first glimpse of the redesigned Winnie the Pooh character.

Director Rhys Frake-Waterfield, who returns for this installment, explained, “This time we have enlisted the expertise of a special effects company that has previously worked on iconic characters like Harry Potter’s Voldemort and figures from the Star Wars universe. They have taken charge of reimagining our beloved creature, which is why Pooh’s new look is decidedly more menacing. The attention to detail is truly remarkable.”

Frake-Waterfield further disclosed that the original “Blood and Honey” brought Pooh to life with a modest budget of $770, but the sequel’s increased financial backing allowed for a substantial investment of $20,000 in the character’s redesign.

The sneak peek, initially shared by THR, introduces audiences to the eerie prosthetics that will define the new Pooh. Expect “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2” to hit the screens around February 2024.

The sequel promises to reunite fans with other familiar Hundred Acre Wood residents, including Christopher Robin, Piglet, Owl, and Tigger. Director Frake-Waterfield teased, “Bigger and Badder. The sequel will feature new creature designs, a new cast, and a high death count. This time, Pooh and his friends will venture beyond the Hundred Acre Wood to confront the unsuspecting community of Ashdown.”

The ensemble cast for “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2” includes Tallulah Evans and features Scott Chambers as Christopher Robin, Ryan Oliva as Winnie-the-Pooh, and Peter DeSouza-Feighoney as Young Pooh, among others. The screenplay for this slasher sequel is crafted by Matt Leslie, known for his work on “Summer of 84.”
