Tonight, we celebrate the nationwide return of the unrated mega-slasher, “Terrifier 2.” In a unique twist, we’re extending the Halloween season this year, bringing Art the Clown back to the big screen to mark the hit sequel’s 1-year anniversary.
This special screening of “Terrifier 2” will not be just a rerun. The movie will feature a special introduction from the creator, Damien Leone, providing insights and a behind-the-scenes look. Moreover, audiences will be treated to a never-before-seen teaser for “Terrifier 3,” an exclusive sneak peek that’s available only in theaters.
And there’s more! On the opening night, the first 100 fans at each theater will receive an exclusive “Terrifier 3” poster. These limited-edition posters will be in high demand, so the team behind “Terrifier” strongly recommends arriving early to secure one. Tickets are already on sale and can be purchased from various sources like Fandango, the official website, and Atom Tickets.
“Terrifier 2,” which originally graced theaters in October 2022, made a thunderous impact during its highly publicized theatrical run, accumulating over $11 million in domestic box office revenue.
This much-anticipated sequel to the ultra-gory slasher sensation “Terrifier” was written and directed by Damien Leone, known for his work on “All Hallow’s Eve.” The film unfolds as the next chilling chapter in the Art the Clown saga, where the demonic killer, portrayed by David Howard Thornton, returns with a vengeance. The addition of Lauren LaVera, who quickly became a breakout star, brought a fresh dimension to the storyline, earning her recognition as the next Final Girl. The film also welcomed back Samantha Scaffidi from the original “Terrifier” cast, reprising her role as Victoria Heyes. Horror icon Felissa Rose from “Sleepaway Camp” and professional wrestler Chris Jericho from AEW made unforgettable cameos that left audiences buzzing.
Director Damien Leone expressed his excitement about the upcoming re-release, emphasizing, “This year has been unlike anything we could have imagined. To see all the love ‘Terrifier 2’ has received and the excitement this re-release has inspired from fans new and old is truly beyond words. As a thank-you to our fans and the many people who worked tirelessly on this release, we want to bring it back to the big screen where it belongs. Furthermore, while fans eagerly await the release of ‘Terrifier 3’ next year, we want the chance to share what we’ve been working on for the third installment because a year is just too long to wait.”
A year after its predecessor, “Terrifier 2” continued the gruesome story of Art the Clown and his insatiable thirst for murder. When a sinister force resurrects Art, he is once again unleashed upon the unsuspecting residents of Miles County. Returning for another Halloween night, Art sets his sights on a teenage girl and her little brother, portrayed by LaVera and Elliott Fullam, respectively. The film offers a chilling and relentless tale of horror that promises to keep audiences at the edge of their seats.
“Terrifier 2” is developed by Dark Age Cinema and Fuzz on the Lens Productions, featuring an original score by Paul Wiley. The film is produced by Phil Falcone, Steven Della Salla, Jason Leavy, and Michael Leavy. A distinguished list of executive producers includes Cairo Ben Amen II, Joshua Anderson, Steven Caruso, Lisa Falcone, Hank Greenberg, Marcus McGill, Larry Bilello, Steven Barton, and Thomas Smith.
