Director Luke Sparke, known for “Occupation,” is back with his latest project, the underground horror movie titled “Scurry.” Variety offers an exclusive first look at the film, providing fresh insights into its intriguing premise.

What sets “Scurry” apart is the unique approach to its filmmaking—it was shot in real-time in a one-shot take, promising an immersive and intense viewing experience.

The story of “Scurry” revolves around two strangers, portrayed by Jamie Costa and Emalia, who find themselves trapped underground as their city falls victim to a monstrous and unknown threat.

The official plot synopsis further elaborates on the narrative, stating that the two characters are badly injured and have limited resources. Their only hope for survival lies in navigating a perilous, narrowing tunnel with the goal of finding an exit before their injuries become fatal. As fear and desperation grip them, the looming threat draws nearer, and they soon realize that their predicament holds more dangers than just each other.

The screenplay for “Scurry” was crafted by Tom Evans, known for “Bring Him to Me.”

The distribution rights for “Scurry” have been secured by Umbrella Entertainment for Australia and New Zealand.
