A follow-up to this year’s chilling Winnie the Pooh slasher flick, “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2,” is currently in production and eagerly anticipated. IGN has just unveiled a fresh batch of visuals from the upcoming film.

This sequel will once again bring together familiar characters such as Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin, Piglet, and Owl. Notably, IGN recently disclosed that Tigger will also make his grisly debut in the movie.

According to producer Scott Jeffrey, Tigger’s character will take a terrifying turn, described as “incredibly violent” and driven by a sadistic pleasure in tormenting victims before dispatching them. This dark twist on Tigger is sure to send shivers down the spines of audiences when the film hits screens next year.

Interestingly, IGN sheds light on why Tigger was absent from the first film: he was not in the public domain at the time of production. However, in 2024, this iconic character will finally be fair game.

Writer and director Rhys Frake-Waterfield shared insights into the sequel, promising a more extensive scope with new creature designs, an expanded cast, and a higher body count. This time, Pooh and his companions will venture beyond the familiar 100 Acre Wood to confront the terrors lurking in the serene community of Ashdown.

Producer Scott Jeffrey added, “With our sequel, we have a substantially higher budget, allowing Rhys to craft a shocking, explosive, and gore-filled cinematic experience. I genuinely believe that audiences will be captivated by what we’re bringing to life.”

The ensemble for “Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2” also includes talented actors such as Tallulah Evans, Scott Chambers (known for his role in “Doctor Jekyll”) as Christopher Robin, Ryan Oliva (recognized for “Seasoning House”) as Winnie-the-Pooh, and Peter DeSouza-Feighoney (from “The Pope’s Exorcist”) portraying Young Pooh.

The screenplay for this slasher sequel was penned by Matt Leslie, known for his work on “Summer of 84.”
