One of the most iconic motion pictures of all time, Steven Spielberg’s summer blockbuster Jurassic Park celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and the film is returning to theaters.
In theaters nationwide, Spielberg’s Jurassic Park returns to the big screen in RealD 3D on Friday, August 25, 2023, for a special 30th-anniversary revival, and tickets are now available!
“Experience one of the biggest films in motion picture history with director Steven Spielberg’s ultimate thrill ride, Jurassic Park. Featuring Academy Award®-winning visual effects and groundbreaking filmmaking that has been hailed as “a triumph of special effects artistry” (Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times), this epic film is sheer movie-making magic that was 65 million years in the making. Jurassic Park takes you to an amazing theme park on a remote island where dinosaurs once again roam the earth and five people must battle to survive among the prehistoric predators. Starring Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and Richard Attenborough, discover the breathtaking adventure you will want to experience again and again.”
Jurassic Park was originally released in theaters on June 11, 1993, the film of course based on Michael Crichton’s same-titled novel. The dinosaur epic gobbled up nearly $1 billion in theaters at the time, spawning a series of sequels including the 2022 film, Jurassic World: Dominion.
It was back in 2013 that Jurassic Park was originally upgraded to 3D, twenty years after the film’s original release. The 3D screenings in 2013 brought in a whopping $18 million.
Officially, Jurassic Park is now a billion-dollar box office hit!
